1,000 whale prayer for earth
Over the years, I’ve been sharing tiny whales with strangers by placing them in libraries, parks, bus stops and leaving clues of their whereabouts on instagram for people to find them.
In October 2026, this formalizes into 1,000 Whale Prayer for Earth. It begins when the Whale Foundation on Maui announces the official first sighting of a humpback whale in the winter 2026 season. In the coming weeks, months, years I’ll be making one thousand tiny whales to be found and held by humans — we’re hoping for fondly, delightfully, all over the world.
Cities planned so far: Honolulu, Seattle, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, London.
